De Struise Brouwers
Oostvleteren, 8640 Oostvleteren
An internationally acclaimed artisan brewery in Oostvleteren, renowned for cellar-worthy strong ales like Pannepot and oak-aged sours.
The story of De Struise Brouwers
De Struise Brouwers started in 2003 as a project of four friends in West Flanders and quickly drew global attention, topping international 'best brewery in the world' lists within a few years. It works out of a converted school in Oostvleteren, focused on bold, cellar-worthy strong ales and oak-aged sours.
The name puns on the local 'Struise' horses and on 'struis', Flemish for sturdy or ostrich, hence the ostrich on the labels.
