The story of 3 Fonteinen
3 Fonteinen began in 1883 as an inn and geuzestekerij in Beersel, blending lambics bought from other brewers. The Debelder family took over in 1953, and in 1998 Armand Debelder began brewing the house's own lambic, turning a blendery into a full brewery.
The name 3 Fonteinen, three fountains, refers to the inn's three hand pumps for lambic, faro and kriek.
