The story of Duvel Moortgat

Duvel Moortgat was founded in 1871 in Puurs. Its iconic strong golden ale, created in the 1920s, was named Duvel, Flemish for devil, after a taster declared it a real devil of a beer.

Duvel's dramatic two-stage pour and tall tulip glass are engineered to build its towering white head.

Duvel

Belgian Strong Golden Ale · 8.5% ABV

A deceptively strong Belgian golden ale known for its pale color, high carbonation, and dry finish. Aromas of pear, apple, and spice come from expressive Belgian yeast, while bitterness remains firm but supportive rather than dominant.
