Heritage

The story of De Glazen Toren

A small East Flanders brewery founded by Jef Van den Steen, Dirk Martens and Marc De Neef, dedicated to reviving traditional Belgian styles brewed properly rather than chasing novelty. Its Saison d'Erpe-Mere follows the old Hainaut saison tradition despite the Flemish address.

The bottles are wrapped in paper rather than labelled, which started as a practical choice and became the brewery's signature.

Saison d'Erpe-Mere

Saison · 6.9% ABV

A modern benchmark for the style from a tiny East Flanders brewery, wrapped in paper rather than labelled. Brewed to the old Hainaut saison tradition despite the Flemish address: pale, peppery, dry and far more elegant than its strength suggests.
