The story of de Blaugies
Brasserie de Blaugies is a tiny family farmhouse brewery near Dour, founded in 1988 by Pierre-Alex Carlier and Marie-Noelle Pourtois. It is celebrated for rustic, dry saisons, La Moneuse and the spelt-brewed Saison d'Epeautre, made in the smallest of batches.
La Moneuse is named for Antoine-Joseph Moneuse, an 18th-century highwayman and an ancestor of the brewing family.

Saison · 8% ABVA classic strong farmhouse saison from the tiny family brewery at Blaugies, near the French border. Named for A.J. Moneuse, a local 18th-century bandit and ancestor of the brewing family. Earthy and semi-dry, with abundant fruity yeast notes and a pleasant rustic mustiness.
