The story of à Vapeur

Brasserie a Vapeur in Pipaix is the last steam-powered brewery in Belgium, reviving a site whose brewing dates to 1785. Jean-Louis Dits and Anne-Marie Lemaire took it over in 1984 and kept the 19th-century steam machinery running.

The brewery's old steam engine still drives the mill and pumps, the only one of its kind left working in Belgium.
