Brasserie Dupont • Hainaut Belgium
Dupont's other flagship beside Saison Dupont. The same expressive farmhouse yeast drives a strong golden ale with firm bitterness and a long, dry, peppery finish.
Bright, golden and deceptively strong, with notes of pepper, citrus, herbal, finishing rich and sweet.
Serve at 8-12°C in a tulip to maintain a generous head and let the aromas bloom.

Can age. Will soften and gain a honeyed depth, though it is lovely fresh too.
"Excellent with roast pork or a washed-rind cheese, where the dry, peppery finish balances the richness."
Cook this: a wedge of aged abbey cheese (Chimay, Orval), or roast pork with grain mustard.

From Brasserie Dupont at Tourpes in Hainaut, the same farmhouse brewery that gave the world Saison Dupont. Moinette takes its name from the brewery's own locale and is, in Belgium, Dupont's best seller. It is built on the house's expressive, peppery yeast but pushed to a stronger, rounder strong blonde: herbal and citrusy with ginger and pear, a firm hop bitterness, and the long dry finish that is the Dupont signature.
On the Belgian Strong Pale Ale style, Strong, pale, and often more hop-forward relative to other Belgian styles. Fruity, spicy, and potent with a warming finish.

Pour it into a tulip, served around 8-12°C, and let its aromatics open before the first sip. Lovely now, though a year or two will only soften and deepen it.
